Lightweight steel construction made by Protektor for memorable moments

The Varieté-Theater in Bonn has been staging fantastic shows and serving gourmet delights since September 2016. The theatre covers a floor area of 3,000 square metres in total and delights its audiences not just with its fantastic shows, the bar and its restaurant “Leander”; its unusual architecture featuring curved and abstract room structures is just as impressive.

Nearly classed as a non-speaking part, Edificio lightweight steel construction profiles made by Protektor nevertheless play a more than leading role. The system provides the sub-structure in the Varieté-Theater for a stepped stand with 6 platforms and seating for 346 guests. The structure is easily able to cope with the traffic load of 500 kg/m² (indoor venues in public buildings, e.g. churches, theatres and cinemas, stands with fixed seating) that is specified by DIN 1055-3. Subject to appropriate adjustment of the individual components, it can even be designed flexibly to withstand much greater loads.
The lightweight steel construction design also coped easily with the severe cost and time pressure, creating the architectural highlights in the more than unusual bar and integrated restaurant “Leander”.
Lightweight steel construction made by Protektor is more than just show:

  • Low tare weight
  • Very strong
  • Quick to build
  • Easy to install, non-combustible material
  • Functional and variable
  • Service and professional planning and design engineering support
